In this class, you will learn how to: wind a bobbin, thread your machine, adjust your stitch length, width and tension, read a pattern, sew a simple, lined tote bag. This class is for complete beginners or anyone who needs a refresher on using a sewing machine. If you’re interested in garment sewing, this is a great place to start! 

About the Instructor:

Sarah Bushway is a lifelong crafter and sewist who began making her own clothes as a personal protest against the fast fashion industry—and never looked back! She loves showing people how empowering it can be to sew clothes that truly fit their bodies and personal style. Sarah is also the owner of Forager Fabrics, specializing in sustainable fibers and secondhand sewing supplies.

Tools included:

Main fabric, lining fabric, thread, webbing and all necessary sewing tools.
