Join us for a hands-on linoleum block printing workshop for adults. You’ll design and carve your own block, then hand-print your design onto a pillow cover to take home. Beginner-friendly and creatively satisfying—no prior experience needed.
About the instructor:
Bee Deeley began printmaking after a 36 year career as a public school educator. A long time collector of block print textiles, she quickly fell in love with linocut and began carving her own blocks. Given that millions of tons of textile waste are created in this country alone each year, Bee set out to make her practice as sustainable as possible. With a few exceptions, she upcycles vintage and secondhand linens. Recently, Bee has been exploring natural dyes- sourcing plants from her garden, foraged mushrooms, and food waste like avocado pits and skins.
Tools included:
Lino blocks, tools, ink, pillow cover, ink tray
What you should bring:
Ideas for designs, pencil, wooden spoon or barren. Optional: old yoga mat for placing under bag
Date: Tuesday, April 7th, 2026
Time: 6pm-8:30
Location: 243 North Avenue, Wakefield, MA 01880
Parking: Street Parking
Classes require a minimum of 4 students to run. If a class does not meet this minimum, we reserve the right to cancel the session. In the event of a cancellation, all registered participants will receive a full refund to their original payment method.
